In January 2008, Raif Wolfe spent slightly more than two solid months while residing in Water Mill, N.Y., where he was afforded down time that he could dedicate to the research and writing of the novel, "Subway Reaper". The concept was one he originally had approximately six months prior to his extended winter hiatus while conducting a brainstorming session just outside Philadelphia, PA. Spiced rum and good company often merge into creative genius.

What took ten minutes to come up with the premise and storyline for, took two months to compose and nearly an additional month to work through before its release on Friday the 13th, February 13th, 2009. Often taking the subway both in NYC and Philadelphia, the setting became addictive and diabolical. Raif also created Xaak Doyle which is the pseudonym he uses for his children and young adult works .
